new to toyota's...so ive lifted my truck with 5 inch springs and 2 inch shackles...i modified my sway-bar but what else MUST i do? traction bars, tortion bars...drag links? kinda getting that feeling like im ganna break something....

 

Can ya post some pics of what you have? It would give everyone a better idea of what your suspension needs.

 

what do you drive, what parts have you put on exactly.

well im pretttttyyyy sure that if you have 5" springs.....then you don't need torsion bars...............

do ya got crossoer steering? (if it's a solid axle rig of course) if not, then get it now!

 

1985 sr5 straight axles 5" syjacker front leafs with skyjacker steering stabalizer and 2 inch lift shackles......what is crosover steering?

yep front and rear...pretty small tho

 

i get a little hop and clunk when i start rolling but i figured it was the traction bar out of place?

 

so with hy-steer i have to buy an IFS, bracket and then the hysteer kit...around 800$ thats alot of money. what about a lengthened drag link?...i mean it would kind of limit my travel but would it work?

 

yea, that would work also. the problem you will eventually run into is the stock steering, the stock j arms are weak, and tend to break. thats "one" of the reasons people go with high steer because it eliminates the j arms.

300 for a high steer kit

100 at a yard for a ifs box

40 for the ifs box mount

it can be done for 500..

 

Check ya upper shock mounts, i was having an annoying clunk, front end. Upper mount was a wee bit loose.

 

hy-steer is deffinetly ganna happen eventually but right now a drag link for 100$ will work until it breaks i guess
