Sounds right to me, although I haven't done it yet. I'm going to check out a top shift box today for $75.

Here is Marlins install guide, PDF:

Thanks for all the clarifying you do on this thread man!
Yes. You regear the rear case, which remains the transfercase.

You then get an adapter, and a second transfer case. You remove the transfer part of the transfer case, and use just the gear reduction box in between the tranny and the adapter. The adapter allows you to bolt the crawl box, and the transfer case together. The crawl box bolts to the tranny just as the stock transfer case did.

*****NOTE*****
The above info only applies to those running compatible transmissions: Generally the W56, R151, and I believe, but don't quote me, the R150.

Essentially, if your truck came compatible with early gear drive cases, you are in good shape.

can you do anything to your stock suspension to give just a little extra lift on a 1990 4runner.

For your first question, no, I'd recommend only stock filters. K&N and other open element, "lifetime" filters let in significant amounts of dirt.

For your second question, I have no idea what you are asking, as I don't think you even have an actual sentence there.

For your third question, again, its hard to understand, but I think you are asking if you can stick 16's on your truck, since it came with 17's. Yes, you can.

About the question that u didnt undersatnd will the old man emu gonna fit the front and the rear ARB bumper? Coz I'm thinking to lift my fj with medium old man emu ,, the other question I was asking about the trd rims will it fit on toyo tire size 265/70r17

Sorry for the disturb and the misunderstood
Yes, the bumpers will fit with that lift. As stated above, the bumpers and suspension are exclusive, and do not affect one another.

Again, as stated above, you cannot put a 16" rim in a 17" tire. There is no possible way that could work.

I have not tried any dual battery set up. You would probably be better off checking the FJ Cruiser forum on here.

And also do read through all of this before you ask a redundant question of "What tires will fit my rig" or "What is a locker" Read this thread, then SEARCH, *then* post up your question I Know AxleIke, TC, 4Crawler and others who have helped here are very busy guys so keep those questions, clear and concise!

Yeah you have the classic sag. Stiffer coils would fix that I think! That's a classic 4 runner issue BTW!

classic meaning that it happens all the time and considered a common problem or a "classic" case of butt sag. Classic being a synonym for common in this case.

look into the zuk mod and search for 4runner sag. trust me you'll find more than enough info on this forum to fix you problem. I think a member by the name of chefyota just did the zuk mod and cured his sag in the rear. It's not the only option but a common or "classic" fix For a "classic" problem if you catch my drift. Other options include but not limited to new springs, add a leaf, re-arching your old springs. This all depends on the year make and moidel and if you have coils in the rear or leaf springs. Have fun and get to reading. Yotatech can find many ways for you to spend your hard earned money.
