The new silent motor

Went to go for a drive this evening and my engine decided it was going to go in to silent mode. Not very awesome. Got to ride in a tow truck. Not very awesome
But got this cool pic

It sounded like I spun a bearing. But with out the howl. I am going to strip the used short block I have in my garage tomorrow an try and get it to the machine shop tomorrow or Wednesday. If I could get this put back together by the end of next weekend it will be a miracle.

We shall see. Wish me luck. I already have an engnbldr head & cam. Time to order the timing chain and rebuilt kit as soon as I know the bore size needed if it needs to be bored out.

Details. 85 sr5 4runner 5 sp. 233,000 miles all stock

Update. I think I have located a very low millage 22re. 120,000. I that is running in a totaled truck currently. I believe I can pick it up for around 300. If I get lucky and the compression is good I am going to grab it do a head gasket so I can put my new engnbldr hea and cam on it. Swap flywheels and put my new 1200# marlin crawler clutch in it. I guess my only question is do I just put a steal backed timing chain guide on and run the Toyota chain and sprocket/tensioner or just swap the whole new set over. It's DNJ but Toyota stuff is hard to beat. What are your thoughts?

Update number 2:

The low mile 22re fell through. Then another turned up. And the more I think about using someone else's rebuild the more I talked myself in to tearing my other long block which I presumed was in much worse shape than it was. After I pulled the head I found the cylinder walls to be scratch free and clean. Also the crank bearings look goo but rod bearing are showing signs of age. I plan on just replacing all crank and rod bearings. I plan on getting the block decked just enough to get me a good non pitted surface. And then barring any new surprises when I pull the crank out. I am going to just hone the cylinders erring the pistons and put it back together. Rear main seal will be replaced as well.

Am I being stupid. I normally would have it taken out to the next size up piston and replace everything by money is very tight right now. Any input/feedback is appreciated.
I will upload pictures of my torn down block tonight or tomorrow morning and tomorrow I am working on a buddies fj80 and pulling the injection and exhaust off my runner motor so it's easy and ready to pull. Will take pictures of all the fun
