The bumper bolts on, and i would say yes, you would need to remove your stock receiver hitch for the marlin crawler bumper to bolt on.

you need to remove the stock receiver and bumper. also you need to cut slits in the lower bed panel.

And if you plan on actually using the bumper, you will need to make two small 3 inch welds.

The two welds are recommended by Marlin to help the bumper stay in place. I have used the center reciever several times to either get yanked (ask AL's chop shop) or to yank people out. It is strong but I don't thing Marlin hAs ever provided a tow rating on his bumpers.

If you have a 1.5 body lift, can you use a tacoma version since those look like they sit a little higher? I didn't see any options for body lifts.

I doubt you can use the tacoma version. I think their is a difference in the width of the frame. Plus, it's a $150 difference. For that price, you can pay a professional to modify the bumper for the body lift.

Marlin doesn't offer any options for body lifts. I spoke to one of their guys a few months ago and was notified that there isn't any plan to make body lift options, at least in the near future.
