Agreed - they perform great if you can accept the nuances on the road. I will say that I noticed it a lot less in my non-lifted 4runner versus my old one with the 4" bracket lift. I hear they're nearly transparent with an auto trans. But as far as performance, forget about it - you'll wonder why you waited so long to do it. Check this thread out:

also any comments on cooper stt's?? i'm looking at them for my 86 yota pickup but cant decide between them o pro comp xtreme a/t's

Like others have mentioned, it's a HUGE improvement over open differentials. The only downfall is the tight turns on pavement and funny looks you get from people as your doing it. I find myself in 2wd more often, going places where I used to need 4wd. I can't wait to get the front locked and see what a difference that makes.

i have a lock right in the rear of my 81... i love it... the best part is when you pull into the a parking spot real quick and it makes all kinds of clicking noices... people have stopped me and said that there is something broken in the rear end... i say NOPE... just my locker
