help with installing window
I've got everything striped out its a 86 I got the panel out and the bottom weather stripping removed I can't find anywhere a how to or anything about 2nd gen Toyotas Windows besides windshields. I cannot get this thing in the tracks to be able to bolt it to the regulator if anyone has done this or can point me in the right way please let me know

There are two bolts at the bottom of the regulator that hold the window to the regulator. I find it easiest to unbolt the window from the regulator and then pull the window out. Tomorrow I can post some pics on my 85 truck build in the link below if that will help.

You're trying to reinstall it?
Mine has been popping out of the track since I converted to manual windows... you can push the front track forward a little to get the window back in track. Or the front track will come completely unbolted if you want to try that.

It just takes a little trial and error. Put the window in without worrying about the track. I'm only able to get it in the track once its near the bottom of the door panel. and extra set of hands helps a lot.

Yea I can see where they would come in handy damn you tube makes it looks so easy what angle should I drop in into the door. I been putting the wing side of the window in first and the try to rotate it into the tracks I'm more parinoid about breaking the window because i don't have time to go grab another one pics of anyone doing this on a 2nd gen pickup or 1st gen runner

Ok I got it in so here's the trick put the back side of the window or ( the end closest to the rear of the truck and get it into is track you can slide the glassdown is the track and the other end not in the track till you get it to the bottom of the door then there is a bolt that is holding the window track in place on the front end of the door. Take that bolt out and you can push the track to the side enough to wedge the door in there then pull up on the glass till it's high enough up to bolt the regulator on to the glass and then there you go I didn't take pictures but I'm pretty confident I could do it in 5 mins if I had to again

I spent hours trying to find videos, write ups etc to figure this out. This post helped me the most. I ended up removing the rubber seal, removing the bolt that held the wing window frame in, and had it the track in about 5 minutes. This was after spending close to 2 hours trying everything else I had found on the web.

It really is easy once you find the one way it goes it but extremely frustrating the entire time you are trying. See I had no idea because the window broke and thus why I he no idea how it went in. Glad this helped I had the same problem tons of videos on other cars nothing for these yotas

Maybe this will help. A little more info in this post>>> https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f198...l#post52225983
Copied...
To install the window lift assembly, I loosely installed these bolts first.

Then I dropped the window in diaganolly, making sure the edges are in the tracks. Also roll the window assembly to where you can access this hole for the front bolt.

Then I worked the window and the slider assembly to where I could get this bolt in. After I got all the bolts in. I rolled the window up tight and then tightened all the bolts that hold the window assembly to the door. After that I rolled the window down and tightened the bolts that hold the window to the lift assembly.
