Alright so I have a 22re and I'm not getting any gas, I have good pressure at the rail so then my mind went to electrical. After reading around I found out how it works and that's with a hot wire and then a pulsing ground to make the injectors work. When the key is off both wires are grounded and when I turn the key off I loose the ground and one becomes hot, well when I turn it over I'm not getting a pulsing ground so I thought that was my problem. So I just jumped a wire from my negative on my battery to the supposed to be ground wire and trying to crank and got nothing. Then just trying stuff out I jumped a wire from the positive on my battery to the already hot wire and it started to crank and ran.. What's going on??

Just what year engine are you working on?? Might help narrow things down a bit.
Or at least tell us what color wires you have on your injector connections.
If this is pre 89 The solenoid (injector ) resistor may be open.
Lets hope you didn`t do any damage

You have a mess!!
Get the Toyota EWD`s for the year of your truck and the year the engine parts came from.
This is some thing that needs done in person!!
Did you do this work Or did you buy the truck like this??
At any time did it run at all like it should??
Just what ecu are you using??

O.P., Before jumping anything, shorting things, out, etc, check the schematic.

Alright so I bout the truck and it is a 90 model. Well I flung a rod in it and the only motor I could find was a 22r so all i did was convert it to 22re with all the parts that were on it originally and yes it runs great when it does run. And the ecu that is in it I guess is a 90
