Gear break in?
#1
Just wondering what is the best way to break in gears in the front. I bought a new third member for the rear and im getting ready to match the front. I live in Florida so i could cruise the beach in 4wd for 500 miles but that would be alot of free time that i dont have. Thanks guys!

You could pull the rear driveshaft and cruise around in FWD a few days:

Or do nothing, just take it easy the first few times you go out in 4WD.

Good write-up, just in time too.

First couple times, you want to make short trips - let the diff heat up, then cool down COMPLETELY before driving again.
