Gas guage

Gas guage
My gas gauge doesn't work, so I was wondering if anyone here had the same problem, and what you did to fix it. I'm not real sure if it's the actual gauge, or a float in the tank itself. I think it's the float, but then again I don't know. The gauge will get down to what I think is around 1/4-1/3 tankfull, and it will read on E or a little above E. Thanks, Sean

I have another gas tank with a working float (I hope) that if needed I could swap floats. I guess that I'll make it a project for next weekend. I also have another gauge cluster, but it reads 316,000 and I'm not sure if I want to put it in. I guess I could just dismantle the thing and get the gas gauge if have to. I would use a trip meter if I had one, but I only have an odometer (I don't have a push button setting if that's what your talking about) But I guess I could keep track of my other one. okay, excuse me rattling on, I'm kinda tired!
