can you? I know for truck pulls they just swap out gears on the transfer case. Is the r22s manuals transfer case chain or gear driven?

 

yep trail gear and marlin crawler sell gears for them hit em up

 

To clarify you can re-gear the low range gears, but high range is still 1:1.
And your22R t-case is gear driven if it is behind a manual transmission.

Correct.

 

The cases behind 89-95 G-series (G58 trans) is chain driven, and cannot be regeared.

All 84-88 Truck 4cyl and 84-89 4Runner 4cyl manual trannies are gear driven, and CAN be geared. 89-95 W-series is also gear driven.

 

Didn't marlin release a chain drive crawl box? or does that replace the chain drive with a gear drive system?
