3vze stalling 1990 truck

i have a 90 toy pickup with the v6...and sometimes when my truck is cold i would pull out and the truck would die out on me...so i would put it in neutral and rev it..it would only go to little over 1300 rpm then it would stall out and the rpms would drop sometimes my truck would die out...when this problem wouldnt happen my truck would run fine...does anyone have any ideas cause im clueless???thanks

have you done a general tune up???? plugs, wires, filter, fuel filter, cap , rotor?

I would start there and move forward. While your at it add some injector cleaner to it

if water was in my tank wouldnt it be doing it to me all the time this problem only happens off an on and wouldnt my truck be running rough???when this stalling occurs my truck idles smooth and when i rev it it stalls and the rpms drop and sometimes the truck dies out just like at the time its happening theres not enough fuel???spark???and when it dies out it starts right back up....and this normally happens to me when the truck is cold....hopefully i can find this irritating problem out thanks anyway for the inputs any help is appreciated....yah and hilux i will prolly be doing the full tune up soon and if its still being a little bitch go on from there

maybe could be the vafm....maybe sometimes its not getting the air flow so there is no fuel prolly think about changing this too...this truck has only 117,xxx miles...and just today i let it warm up good and it ran like a champ so im a bit puzzled...but i think its time for a tune up so im prolly going to have to spend sum moola

did the tune up and its still doing the same thing....could a bad headgasket be a problem cause im having small amounts of coolant dissapearing and theres no visible leaks...also wen warming the truck sometimes there is white smoke with a rich smell so do u guys think my H/G is going it only smokes on warmups??? or maybe my intake manifold gasket????

my 4runner would stall out and have issues when cold when the stat was missing... possibly yours is sticking and not letting it get any initial warm up at times?
