Why would you want to do this? that is a major downgrade. You would end up losing power and drivebility, defintely a bad idea.

You would need a new intake manifold (post 85), fuel system, a carb, intake, custom wiring harness, vacuum tubing, ditch the computer, throttle cable, plus a million little odds and ends. oh, and crazy pills...

OMG... not another one...

well... that's gonna be one messed up 90...

Right off the top of my head, I'd say you need a carb fuel tank... And get ready for a check engine light to be staring you in the face, b/c I don't have a clue what would keep that from going off...

Just cut the power wire to it. Everything else is gonna be rigged, why not that?

1990 efi help plz!!!

i dont know jack about efi and i need help.ok so im making a truggy from my 1990 4x4 22re and i need to find out if there is a bare bones wireing harness just to make the motor run. The wriring at the moment is a total mess and like i was saying it just needs to make the truck run. it does not need to be street legal or run gages or anything like that. This thing is only going to be going in the sand, and is basicly going to be a sand rail. so if anyone can help me simplify the wiring it would be awsome, or if there are any harnesses like that on the market. And also if anyone has a list of all the sensors involved with the efi that would help alot because im trying to avoid to just switching to a carb and as i said before i dont know jack about efi. Also are there any sensors I can just cut out to make it more simple?

Simple answer is no, if you want simple you have to go back to the carb. Otherwise download the FSM and learn to read wiring diagrams and use a DMM because thats the only way EFI will work is with all the sensors.
