The o2 masks it. I sold the truck and never figured it out.
My truck was running lean, fouling spark plugs, o2 sensors, failing aircare. So another gouy in here said he had the same thing and it ended up being a (coolant temp sensor) causing the engine to run lean or rich which fouls those things lol
Id start there. See if its running lean then maybe buy a temp sensor and grab an o2 while your at it maybe?
Sucks because i would have kept my old truck if i coulda figured this out
. Ohwell. Let me know how it works out for you!

Seemed to have been the O2 sensor. I have driven with out problems for over 2,000 miles. Hopefully nothing comes up! Your post really help, appreciate it.

No problem!
Thats what i did, as soon as i replaced the o2 it ran pefect then 6 months later it would foul it again. Only thing that roasts o2 sensors is running lean an burning them up as far as i know. So i would look into it an see if your running a little lean.
Good luck dude!

Mine was doing the same and I unplugged the TPS and it works wicked now! my 94 xtracab 22re would idle at about 500 RPM (On a good day) and the very second I unplugged the tps it jumped to about 1200. Great power now, and so far no surging! I have been running it like this for a month or two, the only difference is she'll blow a little smoke on start-up on account of it flooding, so turn the key with the gas to the floor, and she'll run like an angel.
