hey guys im new here anyway i have a 87 yota 4x4 with the 22r heres whats up with it i got her done 4 days ago im having trouble starting her in the mornings or after it has cooled completey off kinda like its not getting gas i have to pour a lil gas in the carb to get her started but then it runs fine and strong and will idle all day long very smooth and it will restart after that first warm up but it still wants to spin over more than id like for it to crank but will crank with out gassin the carb
. i just bought the truck about a week ago it had been sitting for almost a year because it had jumped time so i trailered her home broke her down and put a new timing chain set in it (not my first time doing this) i tuned it up new wire plugs filters and sum vac lines that looked dry i also changed the fuel pump yesterday and no help to my problem this morning ................. so if anybody has ever experienced this problem please let me know how to fix this .
thanks alot

you have to adjust the valve clearance on that engine every so often. Is it possable that valve timing is so out of wack that it is not building up compression or the valves are opening or closeing late

When the truck has cooled off check the sight glass and see if you have fuel in the bowl...if not u may have a leaky jet that empties the bowl over night. Also you should see a spay of fuel when you pump the accelerator.... and if you can do a timing chain you can rebuild the carb...pretty simple
