Wont turn over?

1988 4runner, 22R-E.

Its -5 out at night if that could pose a problem, anyways drove to the bank and shut my runner off went inside and did my stuff then came out and it wouldnt turn over, it just clicked, all my accesories worked fine becuase i listened to music untill my ride came and rolled the rear window down to get my jumper cables, i thought it was the battery so i hooked it up to jumpers and let it charge, it didnt go the first try and the second try it turned over really slowly an barely started. As soon as i got home and shut it off i tryed to start it again and it just clicked at me again Is this the starter? i havnt tried anything cuz i have been at work all day but i would like to get it going again. Thanks for any help.. I also just did the plugs, cap and rotor and plug wires but i all seams fine?

Justin

Did you clean the terminals real well? Gotta get'em good shiny. Accessories will work on a less than ideal connections. But, things like motors and power windows, etc. won't.

Sounds like either your starter contacts or a weak battery.

probably a bad/loose connection somewhere in the starter circuit. you'd be surprised how fast corrosion can form. check em all.
