Leaves Or 4-link?

I have a 4runner with 4-link suspension. i am putting my sas together after blowing up my second ifs frontend. leaves seem simple i like them, but all my friends drive those trucks that drag on the ground. they say they can build a 4-link setup cheap, cheaper than a leave spring kit! but i want reliability.
anyone lifted a 4-link? pictures?

just go with leaves for now and if for some raeason you think you need to link it then switch down the road. A link wont be cheaper than leaves unless you get alcan springs.

Both are nice. the coils shoulod give you more flex but the ride might feel a bit more unstable than with leaves. Ide say rip out and put in leaves for now. If you want a 4link in the future after cutting all the stuff out for the leaves would make it a nice area to work with in designing a 4link. Theres alot into makeing a good link system so Ide also say research more into it here and places like Pirate4x4 youll find tons of info on it

Hey fill why did you decide to go with leaves? just the simplicity or did that gas tank get in the way? i'm going to go do more research just to piss my lowrider buddies off! i guess i dont trust them to try something unfamiliar with.

I think alot of guys go with the leafs since they are SO easy to set up. The kits have been around so long there is almost no guess work anymore. Weld your hangers and thats it.

Leafs will be cheaper but If you have the time and money, a 4 link would be great.

I'm confused. You already have a 4 link rear, I'm assuming. Who did the rear, and why not just take it back to them? Did you move or they closed down or something?

Linked rear with leaves in the front does work really well. A buddy with a 95 did his rear 4 linked with CO's, and his front with custom alcan packs. Drives like a dream. Wheels even better.
