truck is stalling at temp...

It is doing this when at a stop. It will not hold idle at temp, and it just dies.

I've checked for vacuum links as per abe's advice in a previous thread, but all the lines were good.

Part of me is thinking its the alternator. As the problem has gotten worse, my sub has not been hitting like it used to... and there have been a few other excorsist style electric issues here and there that seem to go away once im moving and my rpm's are above 1k.

theories?

very possible it could be the alt, have you tried disabling the amp to see if that helps? just pull the fuse on your main power wire for your amp and see if it changes things at all, it's worth a try...

is it worse at night with your headlights on?

maybe. i do most of my long driving at night... most of my day driving is 5-8 miles, not really long enough for everything to be fully warmed up.

whats weird to me is that if it was my alternator, it should be doing the same thing cold, right?

One would think if cold, it would be more prominent than when hot particularly since you've discharged the battery somewhat during cranking. Out of curiousity, have you checked the idle screw in the top of the throttle body to see if it's somehow tightened itself up, lowering your idle screw?
No trouble codes?

Havent checked for codes yet. I'll do that tommorow.

To add to my problems... I was going to clean the throttle body today, not that i actually know the proper way of doing that.

Anyways, my intake tube from my KN tube to my throttle body ripped at both ends.

I called toyota and gave them the part number.... $107!

So my grandpa went down to autozone and got a chrome intake tube with a 22 degree bend and two couplers. Just gotta figure out what im gonna do with that end of the PCV that was in the original hose. Probably just drill the KN hose and put it at the end of that.

$30 later, I'll have made my own shiny intake hose. HA.

Am I rambling?

While im at it, what is proper throttle body cleaning procedure?
