Speedo not working

Hi all-

Anyone know what the most common ailment is? I would assume the cable from tranny?

Thanks,

Eden

I do know that the speedo for our rigs goes out at 150k-ish. If it doesn't go out it makes the most God awful whine when it's cold- as I'm does. The issue isn't the cable it's the speedo in the display cluster. There is a post I read about someone who fixed it. You'd need to search for it. Good luck

Mine quit working and it turned out to be the instrument cluster. $400 for dealer to replace it. Depending on what vehicle and engine you have it is either electronic or cable.

What year did runners go to the elctronic cluster? I'm going to look into a new one eventually- this damned thing is driving me nuts.
