Runs rough at idle dies then won’t start

89 3.0 pickup
pickup will run rough at idle with check engine light on then if it idles for extended time it dies. Once it dies it will turn over but won’t start. I can pull start it and it will fire right off and run fine. Maybe even for the rest of the day before it acts up again. Any suggestions?

Did you check for the code that's turning the CEL on? What's a "pull start"? Push start? Rolling start and pop the clutch?

Im getting codes 14, 43, 52. Pull started by having another vehicle pull me around and I popped the clutch once it was rolling.

So after I pulled the codes I reset the ecu by pulling the efi fuse. Pickup started fine and ran 5 miles down the road with no issues and no CEL. Brought it back to the house and it let it run at idle. Ran fine with no CEL for 5 minutes or so till finally died and won't start back up.

Unhooked battery cable for 10 minutes. Hooked it back up and it started right off. Shut it off and only CEL code was 43 this time.

Started it back up and let it idle for 5-10 minutes till it died again. This time it threw code 14 and 43. Won't start.

Did you research the codes? They are ignition and starter signal related. Start there. Here’s the full manual that you can go through diagnostics with.
