They sprayed that stuff before the snow storm to prep the roads. Then after it snowed and they plowed, they put a whole bunch of regular rock salt down. So much that you can barely see the road lines. It's almost to the point where they need to plow the salt I'd wash it off, but I just know once I drive it, it'll just get like that again in no time, so it's a waste of time.

Again, I hate Maryland. In Maryland, you either get taxed to death or salted to death. And if this kills my truck, I will go ape-youknowwhat.

Nothing too big... Thinking about plastidiping it the camp tan color, but I'm not sure yet. Not gonna go to hardcore off road. Maybe a roll bar and bumpers, mostly for looks. I wanna keep the MPG's up so I can use it to commute, but I also want it to be fun off road for the few times I hit the dirt.

A few more pictures of my new truck. Made some paracord door pulls and covered my 4wd shift knob (going to do my big one next).

Was your truck missing the handles when you got it?

Yeah, otherwise I would've left them on there. It is nice that I have a bit more room in there.

Just finished my 1980's warn winch bumper/ brush guard! Picked it up for $100 off UsedVictoria, pretty good shape considering the age, but figured I could refurbish it properly

Chem cleaned (acid dipped to remove scale)
Custom lugs welded
Black powder coat
New grade 8 cad plated & stainless steel bolts
Yellow powder coated 5/8" shackles

I remember missing my truck in upstate NY, but am so happy I never took it there. Hated watching salt eat 3 and 5 year old rigs. I don't know how you salt guys keep them together, let alone presentable.

Yeah, it's even worse now. Pennsylvania laid down cinder when it snowed last. And I'm back to school now, so I go back and forth from Maryland to Pennsylvania. So now my truck is caked with layers of salt and cinder
