I've thought about selling mine for that exact reason too! I'm not taking it with me so it'll be parked for about four years with minimal driving. However when I come home i'll need something to drive, I think that is really my only reason for not selling it.

What a bummer dude. Sorry to hear you're getting rid of it. If you weren't literally across the country i would jump on that deal. But going from California to Florida then back is too much of a hassle. lol

I got rid of my first truck when I was in college. And I regretted it every single year after that which is why i bough another Toyota. Just keep that in mind. But also remember. School is worth the investment. And once you're done you'll be able to afford all the toys you want and possibly a better or newer truck with tons of cool mods. Which is better then anything else.

I love those bumpers man. I REALLY REALLY want a front and rear tub bumper set. I really like the fender flares on your rig. I want a set like that in particular. I dont really like busheacker flares because they are so wide and i run 10.50 tires. Where did you get yours?

Edit: bushwacker

Ok, question one. Is your truck PAID for?
Two. Where is your school that you will be attending? Do they have restrictions on owning a vehicle?
Three. Why sell a reliable vehicle to go out and buy something else that you will hate everyday you drive it, and possible have a payment on, when you could throw some street tires on and drive this to and from school?

There will be little difference in the insurance of what you're paying and what it will be on a car. You quite possible will have a car payment. If your argument is that it costs to keep the truck up, then you will still have the same costs on a used car.

All that said, don't get rid of it just because you think it will cost more money down the road. If you enjoy your rig as much as I enjoy mine, you WILL regret selling it. If anything, pay $1000-$1500 for a beater, and keep the Yota for a backup for when the beater craps out. Imagine the money you will save by not selling; no hassle of purchasing another vehicle, no starting over with the list of mods you've already done, no car payment, you can still enjoy the Yota in the summer.

I know college is rough, I did it at 33 yo, with a wife, 2 kids, a house payment, and working 2 jobs. You will need something to take a break with, and get away from it all before you blow a mental gasket. TRUST ME.

DON'T SELL THE 4RUNNER!!

This is exactly what everyone is telling me. Yes my car car is paid for. Im going to FSU, 5 hrs away from my house. I can only keep one car and my parents said they wont let me keep my truck here. My truck doesnt have cruise control and doesnt like going above 60. I wont have a payment, i work alot and after selling my other toys i should be good. My worry is that i wont be able to afford what is left to go wrong, the motor and rear end. Everything else ive taken care of. Im almost just tired of working on it at this point, i need something i wont have to worry about for 4 years, and even though my motor and rear end arent showing signs of failure yet, im afraid they will.

Man.. then I got nothin.

Now that my wife and I have been together for a while and have made memories in my truck, when it's running she says I can never get rid of it. But as soon as it breaks she wants to haul it off. It's a love hate relationship.

Ya gotta do what you gotta do though.

Wow that is one sick looking truck. Great paint job and mods I'm totally digging this truck.

I like your truck man. Not bad. Your round headlights kinda give it its own unique look. Can always tell its your truck when i see it lol.

Thanks man, I've had it for a long time. Figured Camo would be different
