In my '94 Pickup with a 4" lift 33's and stock gears, I averaged 16mpg driving 70-75mph on the highway and driving it hard up hills... kinda have to have a lead foot with 4.10's

I'm filling up the tank today and I'll post in a few days again showing what happens when you drive slower. I'll be going 55-60mph on the highway and easy on the throttle through town, unlike before.

Just picked up a stock 1985 4x4 Xcab pickup with 280k.
The 22RE was rebuilt around 50k ago but went through a tank of all highway and got 400+ miles.
So around 25 mpg but city mileage is not as impressive. Maybe 17 mpg

Corrected mileage of 23.9 mpg mostly highway, running 30x9.5s at 40psi front and 35psi rear. 22,500 on engine currently, needs o2 sensor, cap, rotor and wires. Oil change tomorrow.

holy crap :)

Driving a 98 taco 3.4L 4x4 with 540,000KM on it... in great shape still and getting 13L/100km!

For the unenlightened.. thats 337,000miles and 30 MPG.

In the freezing cold of northern canada, while using some 4x4 to get around in the snow.

On big mud tires (not huge...but luggy wrangler mud terrains about 28")

Thanks for enlightening us but you posted this in a thread for 86-95 Toyotas. Dont be ashamed, not everyone is good at math.

Fak that isnt what the stupid forum search bar told me.

Still, excellent mileage... i think something must be off. Tire size affecting ODO trip counter reading or something... cuz wiki says my truck should get 23 to 25mpg max brand new and its past half a million.

Anyone who claims they get 25+ out of a stock v6 is bull˟˟˟˟ting (epa is 17 city/19Hwy). I have averaged 19.5mpg in mine for the last 7k miles. Highest ever was 23.3 mpg, so unless you drive down hill all the time it aint happenin,

I know. But you probably wont convince them. After all the only reseon their posting those results is becuase they want to believe their own lie's. For some weird reseon people think they can get above 22mpg in their 4wd trucks. There arent any 4wd trucks that get over 22 mpg. But well keep reading their posts claiming they get 30 mpg in a 4x4, but oh their not positive about how to do math, or that their speedo is inaccurate, or wheather thier using km and imperial gl. and would use it for their lie to seem more believable hoping no smart donkey's see it, or whether they just dont know WTF their talking about.

Ok? Ever really try to get everything you can? There's tricks to maintaining fuel mileage. Spend a little time with a hypermiler. Most people may do their math a little incorrectly. Let them get 30. You enjoy your 22, and don't sweat it. I can get over 22 mpg in my 4x4 truck, but not 30. Not with accurate math, anyway. But I'm dead stock. On stock equivalent tires. And with a wacky speedo, so I run GPS miles. So why don't you contribute by helping the 30mpg club do their math? Or just read, and enjoy their story?
