What do y'all do when that happens? I'll try to figure out which plug it is or put up pics as soon as I can.

No, but that has happened on some of the others. I just have them pushed on. They never seem to give me any problems.

The one I'm talking about fell off the wire completely. I can't remember which one it is and I may not get to look this weekend. I was removing my head and it's a gray plug with apparently only one wire going to it. I think it went somewhere near the back of the intake. I'll see if I can find it on a diagram in the FSM on here and post back.

I think it might be the cold start injector connector but I won't know for sure until I get back to my truck.

When I first read the title...I thought it read, "One of my pastie connectors came off"

I was like, "whaaaat"?

Well, they normally don't just "fall off". Could be that it corroded inside and broke where the wire is soldered/attached. On my 86, there were a few that needed replacing. I found some at a pick-a-part.

hah I did the same thing when I pulled my head.....

it was the sensor directly in front of the fuel filter....I disconnected it but it ended up getting stuck when I pulled the head

I just pulled the metal terminal out uncrimped it, crimped the wire back on soldered and then put it back in the connector

It's the knock sensor wire. Did it ever have a rubber boot on the sensor? 'Cause the shlubs who put my motor back in left off the boot, on a brand new sensor!

Mine was definitely not the same sensor, I didn't even disconnect the knock sensor. But that can happen with any of the connectors so I knew someone if not everyone here will have dealt with this. I'll try what you did. That is exactly what I was asking for. Thanks PirateMcgee.
