Unhappy oil leak on my 86 runner HELP!

To start off I have an 86 4runner with 220k miles on it, at 200k miles I had the engine rebuilt and afew other things replaced. The last time I changed the oil I put it a little bit past the fill line... I figured it wouldn't hurt. Well now i have an oil leak that seems to be pretty serious. It seems to be coming out of the engine block and I'm guessing hitting my fan belts (oil on hood and looks splattered).
I'm no mechanic but is my head gasket bad? What could be causing this oil leak? I'm just looking for some more information before I take it to a mechanic.
