no crank, 87 4runner 22re

So my rig just randomly started doin this, I crank it and I get the most minimal or no cranking at all and it makes the ticking noise as if I had a dead battery, replaced starter and starter wire, don't have access to a voltmeter till tomorrow so I can't check voltage at the starter solenoid signal wire, all my grounds seem fin and I've got a 4-00 ground wire off the battery, im totally stumped for time being, any ideas?

The positive wire that comes from the relay box under the hood to the battery, check for cracks and corrosion. How new is that starter? Take the solenoid out of it and check the plunger contacts. Just the three screws on the back of it.

Lucky for me the only Toyota I've ever had this problem on was my Supra. It was that positive wire on mine, and resoldering a new one fixed my issue. Lemmie know if that fixes it.

Ok so I got ahold of a voltmeter, checked everything, the only thing odd I could find was at the solenoid plug on the starter I was getting 3 ohms of resistance, is that too much?

Yes, there should be less than .01ohms. how did you have the ohmmeter hooked up?
