need help! carb or efi?!

I have a 87 4x4 that is currently carbed. I have a 88 4x4 parts truck efi. I need to change motors and I need help deciding to keep it carbed or swap it to efi. Pros cons? Tips?

i think it mostly comes down to preference, ive mostly only had carbed cars/trucks and never had a problem my brother on the other hand hates carbs with a passion.

Just depends what you want out of it.... Editing is better for gas mileage.... Carb is less computer components....

My preference is efi I think they are easier to work on myself with self diagnostics. The real benefits in my opinion are a pressurized fuel system that can run at extreme angles without starving itself for fuel and altitude compensation is better on efi vehicles. And though most people don't seem to care but I like to breathe clean air and efi is a much cleaner burning engine. Just my 2 cents

efi all day. i agree with brian about the diagnostics. if you decide down the road you made the wrong choice it isnt that hard to convert it to carb anyway.

I'm already getting 23 mpg carbed. I looked at that efi and it had so much crap built up in it. I also notices that efi has so many freaking vacuum lines! Maybe my carb set would too but someone deleted the egr. My next question is keep the original carb or get a weber?
