i wanna run a flowmaster 40 but my exhuast piping is only 1.5 id, how could i get a 2.5 or 2.25 to fit. I am new btw and sorry if i posted this in the wrong thread or what ever

 

you would prolly wanna get a shop to make an adapter that will be 1.5" on one end of the adapter and whatever size pipe you want on the other end. then run a cat and muffler of your choice welded up. lol

 

thanx man i appreciate it. i was thinkin maybe get all new piping made to run from the cat to the new muffler then form the muffler to the tail but i dont have much money lol, what do you think it would cost to have an adapter made and to get new piping made?

 

um idk man. the shop i use to work at did my exhaust for free. but if it was me and i had a 22re i would run headers into a magnaflow hi-flow cat into a cherry bomb glasspack. for the price of a flowmaster you could buy a magnaflow cat and a glasspack and have a louder better sounding truck imo. lol

 

does it sound beastly or ricey lol

 

well you gotta remeber that you have a 4 cyl. motor. lol that being said my friends 22r wit a glasspack has a nice tone at idle and low revs. it doesnt get ricey till the rpms get real high. this is a loud set up though. lol but imo i think it sounds better and louder than flowmasters

 

i know its just a 4 banger but i still want it to sound legit lol, right now im thinkin just get two adapters and a 40 series, i kno you dont approve lol, will that work or should i throw a new cat on the list while im at it?

 

its not that i dont approve because flowmasters are nice. im just trying to give ya some more options. lol and ya i would recomend a magnaflow cat. check on summit.com they're like 80 bucks on there.

oh gotcha.lol well another muffler you might wanna check out is a cherry bomb extreme. i just bought one today and its suppse to be louder and deeper sounding than a flowmaster. lol might wanna check it out

ill try to. my favorite sounding exhaust i have had on my v6 truck was a cherry bomb 8" glasspack. it was just plain loud!!! but i got an exhaust ticket and had to take it off. but im bout to put it on my friends 4 banger yota. ill let ya know how that sounds to.
