muffler poll what are you running on your yota

I personally would never dual a 3.0, or let alone a 3.4. The 3.4 naturally has more of a "ricer" sound than the SOHC 3.0. Tonka's would sound better with a higher quality muffler and a single pipe. but to each his own, as they say. My brother has the same set up on his 3.4 as I do on my 3.0, except the headers. and I'd say it sounds better than Tonka's decatted, thrush muffler dual combo. His is a single exit pipe as well.

Tonkayota has headers i believe. but who needs power when you have an amazing sounding exhaust like that??? lol but Mak92 deff has best sounding 3vze exhaust but for the 3.4 the best sounding exhaust goes to Tonkayota.

i didnt hear anything "ricer" about Tonkas truck. i think the concept of true duals on a yota is pretty sweet and i would put true duals on my yota in a heartbeat. That being said i would have used a different muffler like glasspacks or cherry bomb extreme. lol

I'll have my brother post up his 3.4 borla turbo style cat back exhaust sometime. I'd take it over Tonkayota's set up anyday heh. my brother's still has stock manifolds with cats on and it sounds pretty good.

ya the borlas are a very high quality muffler for sure but i just couldnt see myself paying that musch for a muffler when you could pay 20-30 bucks for something lik a cherrybomb glasspack and be way louder than the borla.

Sound / quality = money
Borla - stainless steel construction, lasts forever, sounds amazing, etc etc
cherrybomb glasspack - PoS construction, sounds good until the glass packs down.
I spared no expense on my trucks exhaust... 3vz needed every penny for those headers... lol the borla is like the frosting on a cake

Ya but more sound is just awesome!!!!
but i think whatever sound you want depends on what you get. i love the sound of an exhaust that does nothing but "pops" and "crackles" which is why i use to run straight pipes and 8" glasspacks. lol

haha thats funny Mak. the straight pipe sounded like a tractor until you touched the skinny pedal. the 8" glasspack was the best sounding exhaust i have had on my truck yet. lol my new exhaust is the cherry bomb extreme and ima run duals out the back with 2 4"x18" tips coming out behind each tire at a 90 degree angle.Hopefully it will sound nice, cant wait till next tuesday to get em installed!!! lol
