I'll post back sometime after the install with results and opinions.
You'll like the sound of the Flowmaster 50.I have mine installed O2 sensor back 2 1/4" pipe on my 22re automatic. It was worth $400 complete but these pipes last a long time.

I use an over sized cherrybomb... I think the exhast pipe on my 3.0 is 2 1/4", I went with a 3 1/2" cherrybomb with a reducer, and then reduced back to 2 1/4 out the back, I know that sounds dumb, but the over sized cherry bomb sounds waaaay better than stock size, stock size sounds like a fart can on a honda or somethin, the over sized sound more throaty, like a flowmaster, but still not too loud. just make sure to reduce it for the tailpipe tho, or it sounds echoey (spelling? Is that even a real word? lol)

I put a magnaflow 2.5 inch after my stock cat. at first I had just a turndown coming out of the back and it sounded great. nice low rumble but not too loud.

I had a tailpipe bent and welded on, but he put 2.25 pipe on instead of 2.5, and now it sounds totally normal :/

Chef, i wouldn't lie to ya, but my 85 runs super smooth, fires right up, idles great, and runs steady without any sputter throughout idle to redline...as far as the truck goes all the electrical stuff works good from the gauges to the lights, and even the door buzzer...if you drove my 85 blindfolded you would swear it was brand new...

now as far as the body, and frame rot ....thats a whole different story...

Ever thought about swapping out the guts/harness, etc., into a gutted clean body one on the cheap, ........if you can find it? I guess now that you have that other one, .....might just have to focus on that for now, right? Besides, ...it's a Property Rig, pretty much, right?

I was running a straight pipe. I got kinda tired of the old tractor exhause sound so I just recently put an odd brand glass pack that i picked up in a trade. It sounds really good. Nice subtle rumble.

well my plan is to fix the body on the original frame, and buy anothet good frame and park next to it, then one the body is fixed, i can drop all my "new or refursbished" body parts and cab, onto the new frame...then swap in the drivetain shortly after...if that makes sense to you? but just for now its a farm truck...wich is weird because the truck i have the title to is the farm truck, but the truck i dont have the title to is a ummmm....a truck i never ever drive on the road, or even think about driving it on the road.

... not exactly what i meant when i said up through the bed lol, but hey it actually sounds pretty good, not much different from my massey ferguson muffler with a downturn though... but the pure redneckedness of it is just epic!
