longer shocks needed with 3" shackles???

without lowering bumpstops, You'll proably want the same length shocks. The limitation of uptravel hasn't changed with the shackles. The shocks still need the same, short, compressed length.
I had a 1992 SVX. Broke 3 transfer cases. got sick of working on it, but it was a neat car. There are 2 pictures of it in the 2004 SVX World calendar.

Like it has already been said.. you will still compress the same.. I would find somewhere to flex the truck... get the rear to hit the bumpstop and see how much longer, if any, of a shock body you could fit.. then buy shocks with that leangth body...
