longer shocks needed with 3" shackles???

longer shocks needed with 3" shackles???

i got a set of 3" shackels (1.5" lift) will i need longer shocks and if so how long 10" or 12" ( i searched)

without lowering bumpstops, You'll proably want the same length shocks. The limitation of uptravel hasn't changed with the shackles. The shocks still need the same, short, compressed length.

I had a 1992 SVX. Broke 3 transfer cases. got sick of working on it, but it was a neat car. There are 2 pictures of it in the 2004 SVX World calendar.

Like it has already been said.. you will still compress the same.. I would find somewhere to flex the truck... get the rear to hit the bumpstop and see how much longer, if any, of a shock body you could fit.. then buy shocks with that leangth body...

cool thanks, yea my svx was a fwd one with a few mods done, pretty fun car for the long freeway runs
