I would get some longer deavers. Chevys would work on the cheap route. You want some droop in there. Consider running coils up in to the rear cab, or make sure you have some really good shocks. This would require you to convert rear to leafs though. Might be cheaper then linking the rear or extending your arms rather.

I like Kings. Fox are great. I have used both. My brother used to build trophy trucks and they used Kings exclusively so I am biased. Pops has Foxs on his sandrail. Donahoe has some good products, not sure what they have for rears, but you need to consider going all custom set up to keep up with the front. I hope you can weld.

It used to be about $3600, not included shocks, axles and the few other things needed. They don,t have a price listed on there site now, but I bet its a bit higher, well deserved IMO. This was several years ago.

Definitely not a "buy kit" and "install" its way more in depth than you think. Go for it if you have the cash...I'm curious to see what your gunna do with it!

The Gen 2 Caddy kit goes for $2020, not including shocks shock hoops and axles. I got mine for $19something from Offroad Warehouse.

My brother had the unibal, which was more I think. $3600 might have been including the shocks, king coils. 2nd gen pick up, like I said that was like 5 years ago??

Thats a deal Matson!! You're stoked.

TC site says 13" travel 2WD, and 12" 4WD. Trust m e TC is the goods. If you could look and the quality of welds alone not too mention materials used, you would know. My brothers shop fabbed the stuff and he still went out and bought the TC kit for his 85 pickup.

Long travel for the rear, depends if you want to link it or leaf it. I would link it if you know how to set up the geometry right. Otherwise long leafs, I like Deavers, and run cage up into the rear of the cab for shock mounts. You would have to spend a good amount of time messing with spring rates to get it right with the front.

There was a purple third gen runner in off road mag, several years back that had long travel. BA. Let me see if I can hunt that issue down.

It uses an 8" for dual shock applications, i saw a single 10" though. Anyway, the shock is positioned inward from the spindle, so the shock does not travel as far as the actual wheel.

Are you ACTUALLY going to purchase one of these kits...or are you just wasting our time?

^^ mean guys ^^

I wouldn't just go out and buy something. It takes many sleepless nights to decide to go drop $3k, haha. As far as wasting time? I could talk shop all day. no time wasted here.

x2. I don't know about you, but i don't have 3k+ dollars to drop on a front end right now. even if i did, I would be thinking hard that i am making the right decision.

I would talk to the vendors too. Ask them questions. I have talked to both, and they both have outstanding customer service, but I'm sure they can offer information that we can't too help your decision. I would call TC and tell them you are considering the Downey kit and see what they say, and vice versa.
