sorry. I didn't mean put words in your mouth. I thought you were referring to the downey's because that are designed stronger. sorry. and when people say they are getting cv's from the junkyard, they generally mean they are getting the whole axle.

 

TC just came out with a 2wd Race kit for gen 2 pickup/4runner and it is completely BFA!! I will be picking one up beginning of next year (mid jan i think) and will be installing it. I will tell you what i think about it when i give it a good run for its money. I am in the middle of a 3.4 swap so it might take a few months for me to get back to you but if you dont hear from me good luck. dont stress yourself on it to much. Everybody i know that has a TC kit is extremely happy with it fyi.

 

totaly got away with tradin in my stock axels as cores for the t-100s. the empoyee at kragen didnt even check to see if they were different. axels are in and kit is installed.

 

Looking over this thread I noticed no one mentioned the JD Fabrication Kit ( http://jdfabrication.com/index.php?o...tpage&Itemid=1 ). Deathrunner ran it on his first generation 4runner. If I remember right it works with either t-bars or coil-overs. Nice if you don't have the cash for the coilovers at first but want to add them later.

 

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet, but Downey is supposed to be coming up with a way to use coil-overs on their kit as well. If you read closely on the website it mentions it.

I have yet to really mess with the Downey kit myself, but if they were designed with coil-overs as a option down the road then perhaps it would not be too difficult to rig something up yourself. Of course, that kind of talk makes the price tag on the TC suspension look better and better.
