Well, a replacement daily-driver should be parked in front of the house by the end of the week, so I can make plans to make the 'Runner a little more fun. Probably SAS, chop the top, 3.4 when i have the time, tube doors, etc. I will not let the truck be sold, but I'm more than willing to let it sit for a while while I collect parts to build it further.

Tanks for the input everyone!

before you replace the bearing measure your clearances with a micrometer or plasti gauge if its more than .002 or .003 oil clearance it will still knock, or it wont but you will lose oil pressure there. you can get a new crank with main and rod bearings from perfectengine.com and be in business, thats if you want it to be reliable but the looks of it that journal on the crank isnt that bad but measure it to find out. and maybe replace the rod and bearing cap or have it turned and get an undersize bearing

Ya, you can just replace the bearing, IF you can get the clearance close enough to tolerance. IMHO, it's kinda worthless unless you can get close to within tolerance.
