ISR Mod Q's
So Im doing the ISR mod, but I'm wondering, do I have to put the 2 vac hoses back into the intake? I know 1 is the valve cover vent, and I can just put a filter on that, what does the other do? is it just EGR?

do you have a third gen? if so, the frontmost baffle (with the vacuum lines) is the PERFECT size to use a spray paint lid. just drill a couple of 1/4 holes so you can still use the vacuum and wala (sp?) wahlah? hooplah?

if you don't hook it up, the engine compartment is noisy.
I mean, REALLY noisy...
I am thiking about making and selling some ISR pipes. The piece owuld be a mandrel bent piece of tubing, with welded bungs for the vac lines.

i'd be interested if it came with heat wrap ...and fit a 5vz...and was cheep...
i'll probably end up making one, i've got a buddy that builds airplanes, and he might be able to fab one up out of carbon fiber...(it'll still get heat wrapped)

The other one is for the PAIR Reed valve.

I am doing a 3.4 swap, so I don't need it anymore.
US$50.00 shipped USPS P1 anywhere in the 48 states.
PM for more info. Price negotiable. Got any '96 3.4 intake parts to trade?

I ended up making mine for under $25 CDN, not that there is much difference now, but just putting it out there, mandrel bent pipe from the auto parts store, hydraulic hose from the hardware store and some hose clamps I had.
And fore the 2 vac lines that go to the intake, I have a filter on the valve cover, we'll see how that works, people report a oil smell, some don't. The other is just chilling open right now. All the EGR stuff is the next to go!

Mine ISR is 3" flex exhaust tubing ($13) w/ RPS 2.75" to 3" silicone connectors ($50 w/ shipping ) Not cheap but well worth the quality.

I only welded a fitting for small hose near MAF (3/8" steel tube flared on one end pushed up thru hole drilled in pipe then welded). K&N filter off v.c., no smog check to worry about and then 5/8" hose + connector to airbox.
Then some black paint.
You sure can hear the MAF flutter at idle.
