Inclinometer doesn’t light

Hey guys, i thought it was probably bulbs, but changed them yesterday and it didn’t help.
My speedo lights work. Are inclinometer lights fed from the same circuit?
i can’t find it mentioned in my 86 Toyota service manual or schematics.

Do you have the EWD manual?
if you do, look under “wiring Routing”
the wire goes from the clinometer down through the hole and plugs into the harness somewhat between the ashtray and heater panel.

clinometer

i think the connector is by the cigarette lighter. there is a switch on the clinometer to turn off the lights. did that get pushed?

I noticed the switch, but it isn’t the cause. Probably unplugged due to the aftermarket radio that is hacked in. Will have to check when i get to straightening out the radio.

It'd tied into the light for the heater control panel. Follow that wire and it should take you to where the clinometer wire plugs in

from my '87 FSM, the clinometer lighting is tapped into the heat control panel lighting fore/aft.

Thanks,Wally. I know the PO had that apart working on the blower fab and heater core. And there is a toggle switch hacked into the middle of the panel above the radio. Suspicious.

i can take a look at my partially disassembled '88 dash to see if i can get a good picture of the connector/location for the inclinometer lighting.

edit - took a look; no good way to get a decent photo that would show anything useful. voltmeter should help in terms of finding the wiring for the light circuits.
