How far can the 3.0 go?

I know there were some post and maybe a poll on the miles you guys got on your 3.0, but ive been searching for a while and I can't find it. anyway, i think its about time to update it now, so how about it? How many miles does your 3.0 got on it now? I'm at 160,000, and i got the headgasket done at 146,000. Still running good with the exception to some noises.

i, personally dont have a 3.0, however my friend has 221,000 miles on his 3.0, with a head gasket job done recently.and it runs fine, it just sounds like it needs a valve job..

Did my HG and a valve job at 165k, and now she's got 175k. She is running great besides for a code 71 I need to get fixed. Anyone got an used EGR valve for sale? Is there an area of the forum just for used parts for sale?

I've got 203,000 miles on it. The previous owner did the head gaskets at 134,000, and I bought it at 145,000. It runs great, but I'm currently fixing a froze up fan pulley. I've put about $700 or so worth of parts on it in the last 5 years, so I can't complain.

My 1988 had 196,000 when it self destructed.
I had the dealer rebuild the heads and put in a short block, that now has 145,000 miles on it. Total vehicle miles is about 341,000!

What does a normal rebuild cost on one of these 3.0 (3VZE) engines?

I have 186K on my 89 4Runner

My ride was not subject to the HG recall, but it still runs strong and is not only my trail rig, but my daily driver

240K on my 3.0. Has a valve tick, an oil leak, and is exceptionally underpowered, but it moves me from point A to B going to the redline every shift, so I'm not complaining.
