I'm pushing 303,000 miles on my 3.0.

BUT

That may not count, I do not know if they are all on one engine.

I've got about 240,000mi right on my untouched 3.0, pushing 37" tires... I have to add coolant/oil about once a month though.

Okay, my 1988 4Runner 3.0, manual just turned over 318,000. Timing belt done at 280,000 and head gasket at 120,000. Currently has good compression but a leak at the rear main seal. Makes the drive from Seattle to Portland every weekend without complaining and averages 18 mpg. Still a good daily driver.

A friend of mine has a '94 pickup with 364,000 on it. No rebuild, not sure about head gaskets. The thing runs great.

I got 138,900 on mine, and attempting to do valve gaskets this weekend. After reading this thread though, I guess I should start saving up for new HG. FML.

256,000 on my 3.0. I'm the second owner and have maintained it very well, and the first owner (up to 142k) was an old retired cop. Despite regular maintenance (and 142k easy miles), I rail the ˟˟˟˟˟ out of my 3.0 and have never had a problem. Head gasket was done in '99 under the service campain.

Oh, and it burns about about 8 ounces of oil every 3000 miles. Never rebuilt. Whoop whoop.

i'll prolly be moving out of state sometime within a couple of years to go to a different college.

i WANT to take my '92 4runner...but i can only take one vehicle.

i don't want to get up there...then have some major problem which i can't fix and not be able to get to work or school.....

with that being said i'm enjoying all the amazing high mileage posts.

my engine has like 164K on it..just rebuilt it..waiting to go back into the engine bay!

i'm hooping i never have to go into the motor again. (until i 3.4 swap it)

'89 has 210k.
PO kept very detailed maintenance records, and I can't find anything about replacing the head gasket. I've put on the last 30k miles and still going strong.

I'll chime in... 178,xxx miles on my 95 3vze. I've only had it for 10k without problems, but looking at the paper work from the previous owner a few minor things were fixed, most notably an oil leak. Eats a good amount of oil, has a valve ticking (maybe injectors), chugs a bit while at idle sometimes, and is very underpowered.... otherwise it's been taken care of well by me. Looks like I dodged the HG problem. However, I'm still nearing the point where I'll need to replace even the good one.... Dun dun dun...
