I have a 94 4 runner with 204000 on the clock and it still runs perfectly... Just had to replace a few minor things ie. The factory radiator finally had all the jb weld it was gonna stand for =)

Other than that just basic maintenance; plugs, wires, distributor, oil... Etc....

I think 202,000 is as far as mine goes.. sitting in the driveway waiting to figure out if I need a whole new long block or just do the heads.....
Just suddenly starting blowing heavy smoke a couple days ago...

315800 hard miles, orig head gasket. Last 40,000 with a stuck exhaust valve or busted ring. Just started leaking water into the rear cylinders right before I left for France a little over a month ago. Guess I got a project when I get home. Wish I could get the drivetrain from one of these diesel rigs from over here and drop it in!! 1988 SR5 4runner, Environmentally streamlined as some say!!

Mines got about 162k & it runs great. No oil usage between 3k oil changes, no leaks & gets me to work everyday. I'm getting an average of 18 mpg (40% highway 60% city) 2wd automatic. I picked it up from the original owner & it was well cared for. The starter clicks every now & then but that's about it.

Bring your 'salvage yard' rig over to my place, I'll give you cash for it if it's a manual tranny. hahaha

but seriously the engine does suck to work on but it does have the reliabilty of a Toyota

like most other things, if you take care of it, it won't fail you

My 91 4x4 Std Cab has 345,000KM (214,000 Miles). Runs perfect!! Taking back a rototiller and air compressor last week on the highway. Going up and down hills in Nova Scotia and didn't even have to change gears going up the hills. Still has about 90% power from when it was new!!

my 93 runner - 275k miles, h/g done at 70k....runs great every day
my 94 runner - 251k miles, never had the h/g's done...runs great every day
my 91 p/u (skidder) - 248k miles, this rig hasn't had the h/g's done either, and runs good, considering, I actually use this truck as a skidder, and my trail rig, and a daily driver, I am absolutely amazed that she fires up and goes where I want every time I turn the key!
