no it will not fit, the width on the 02 4Runner is greater than that of the 90-95 PUP/4Runner. you will have to just mold the scoop into your current hood.

find a scoop off of a late 70's early 80's mustang and blend it it... won't make much difference though, other than looks: the air intake is off to the side... yep, one of those 'make clearance for something under the hood without having any real benefit to engine operation' things.

ya, there's no way, it would take some serious modding to get a taco hood on a p/u or 4runner

you have to keep in mind the fit with the fenders, the hood latch, the brackets, the length to the front of the car.....

if you really want one, buy a scoop and weld it on to your hood

hood scoops for late 80's toyota pickups only $25

i put a hood scoop on my 87 toyota pickup and
in my opinion the best car to get a hood scoop from is a 96' to 99' subaru legacy. here is how i did mine

1. got old hood off a 97 subaru legacy 2.5 GT from junk yard for $5.
2. cut the subaru hood around the hood scoop
3. took off the hood of my toyota
4. traced the out line of the scoop on the toyota hood
5. cut the toyota hood the same size as the scoop.
6. put sheet medal under the section of hood where the hood scoop part
meets the toyota hood (this is important i.e so the bondo wont just fall
thru the crack and you have something to weld together so it will be
some what stable)
7. after i welded the it all up i sand blasted the paint off around the edge
8. then filled the crack in with bondo
9. sanded
10. primed
11. painted

i think i only spent like $25 on the project it was pretty simple too
give it a try. just take your time and it will look good.

yeah

yeah i know this is an old picture that i took with my camera phone right after i finished it, it was just a temporary paint job till i had time to take my time and do a good job. the paint job your looking at was a 5 minute raddle can job. i have since fixed that spot you speek of. ill post pics with a good camera tomorrow or when ever i get around to it.

oh yeah, the hood scoop really adds to the road noise so if you like a quiet ride... a functional hood scoop is not the way to go, i am planing on putting an inter-cooler under my hood scoop so i needed a fully functional one.

Here is my thread on grafting a 2000 4Runner Sport hood scoop on to an 89 pickup hood. Its not finished all the way yet but all the metal work is fininshed. I'm waiting to finish the rest of the truck fabrication before doing any bodywork.
