Im about too buy an 88 pick up truck its a V6 auto king cab.
The owner tells me that the motor has been swap out but he lost the paper work. I dont belive him! haha Does anyone know where the vin # is located on the motor

 

What engine is it?

I did a very quick search on Google and didn't find anything.

I don't think that is what he is asking. He wants to know if the engine has a Vin stamped on it so that he can match it to the one on the truck. I don't think they do this.

 

the engine serial should be on the side of the block, behind the alternator.

 

Did anyone ever find the vin # located on the engine block? I have a 22re and am having no luck finding it.

 

As flash319 says, I don't think anyone puts the VIN on the engine block.
