Help: brake light blinking on Dash

I know this may not be the right section for this. My brake light on the dash keeps coming on and going off. What is that all about.

The obvious first place to look at is the emergency brake light switch at the end of the emergency brake actuator. Maybe it just needs adjustment?

Check the brake fluid level. When low, the brake light illuminates.

Is it the only light coming on? If your alternator is going out your brake and charge(battery) lights will both come on.

Otherwise, as has been said check brake fluid level, brake fluid level sender, and parking brake switch.

I just made my son diagnose the dash brake light two days ago. The brake fluid was an inch down from the minimum level. In the 2000 Tacoma the light once went on and I sprayed grease on the parking brake cable and it went out.

Amen!
When posters do not mention what year-model-engine-transmission they have I assume it's an Escalade - LOL!
