goin with the flow, drop it off a cliff?

lol. well. my trucks got a nice weird problem now that its picked up. doesnt happen all the time, and i can usually get it to work anyways, but here it is.

every once in a while when i go to start it up, it'll start and even turn over fine, but if i dont get on the gas it wont start. its actually started before for about 3 seconds and then died.

the symptoms are- occasional smell of gas, not starting.

so the question is, should i just drive it off a cliff, or is there something i can do to eliminate the problem without violence.

find a really tall cliff and wear a parachute, and bring a camcorder just for good measure.

how about figure out where the smell of gasoline is coming from...maybe you have a leak somewhere, fuel lines are known to rot, in nj they usually rot out and need a full replacement, id be suprised to see that in florida tho...

no idea. never rly had any problems. where would i look for this code? the check engine light isnt ever on to my knowledge. im rly not sure what the problem is. id like to find out though. lol.

btw, it works fine 99% of the time. it'll start right up. its just every once in a while it takes a lot longer than normal.

If I can get codes its easy. Take a paperclip a unpainted one and unfold it. Now stick it into the or you can go to:

and all your codes shell come to life.
