Extending your brake lines....When?
So I have been searching and searching and I can't find a simple answer to this question. When should you get extended brake lines? How much lift is capable with the stock lines? I ask only because I plan on doing some more work soon and if I should do this I would like to add it to the list.
My current setup:
2" Body lift
Super Swamper TSL Radial 265/80 R16 Mud Terrains (equals about a 33x10.5 16 tire)
Planned work::
Downey Extended Shackles (maybe - have the shackles but will I need them)
63" Chevy Spring Swap
BJ Spacers up front
Replace my stock Torsion bars with my SAW HD Torsion Bars (maybe .5" raise at most)
With my planned work will I need to pick up some extended brake lines? Thanks in advance.

With all that lift your gonna wanna extend your brake lines. You need to extend you brake lines when you reach the point where your articulation is gonna exceed the length of your stock line. Your gonna reach this limit with the rear brake line first. So to answer your question, with all that work your gonna need to extend your brake lines.

Thanks for the info! So would there be any drawbacks or concerns if I were to extend my brake lines first and then do the lift/mods later on? Any chance of them getting tangled or caught on anything???

You want hardline as much as possible for constant pressure, but the braided extended lines give you that flexibility and can be used w/ the factory holders in most cases, weld on some new ones or use zip ties.
