exhaust manifold glowing

First of all its a 95 4runner 3vze limited paid 500 bucks been sitting up three years got it running but manifolds glow thinking cat or injectors clogged any helps is appreciated greatly

sounds like its running lean, or the cat.

yeah it could be a clogged injector or a bad one.

Injector would have to be stuck open, not clogged. You are burning fuel in the manifold. Check timing and plug wires, and by that I mean check to see if each wire is connected in the right spot at the distributor and each wire is going to the correct plug. Cat may be plugged or partially plugged.

I plan on pulling the cat and cleaning it out tomorrow then inspecting injectors

You've got a leak in the intake area.Get some carb cleaner and spray the intake and vacume lines.

Was wondering what you found to be bad to cause the glowing manifolds mine does this and I can’t figure it out

Almost 10 years ago might be sometime for a response

Clogged exhaust

Timing causing it to be firing with the exhaust valves open

Might be either cam timing or ignition timing
