95 4Runner Engine Oil Leak at rear of right head
My '95 SR5 4Runner has the 3.0 3VZE engine (just under 188k) with an automatic and rear ABS. It has had an oil leak for quite some time that is enough that the oil stays pretty clean because of the regular addition of new oil. (approx a quart every couple weeks)
I was told this had had the head gaskets changed before I purchased it, I have had the truck for approx 10 years now, with really no issues, then this leak started happening about 4 years ago - has no heating issues.
The leak is coming from the rear of the right side of the engine, between the head and the block, as seen by adding "glo fluid" in the oil and using a black light.to see where it started coming out. When it finally got mixed around and started coming out, it started coming from between the head and the block, where the head gasket is, and it took approx 30 - 45 seconds after pouring in, to notice.
Is it likely to be a cracked head in this location?
Is there an Oil Pressure passage in the head near this area?
Is it likely that a head gasket would start leaking oil in this area?
Is it likely that a one time lost-water overheating issue approx 5 years ago might have caused this?
Thanx ahead of time for your help with this!
