ok so my stock muffler has developed some holes and needs replacement so I want to get more power/performance out of my truck and gain better gas mileage if possible what are you guys running on your trucks/4runners (aka3.0) and how does it sound I want something deep and throaty but not load and crazy I don't want to have to have my stereo on high just to here in on the high way or yell to talk to my friends (pics would be awesome to or sound clips) thanks

i would say a full 2.25'' pipe from the cat back to a 24'' magnaflow should work great and not be all that loud

I have the 14" Magnaflow and the stock tailpipe. The 14" is not too loud but you can tell its there.

There is a bunch of clips Here

On my 89 Runner (3.0) i just put on a flowfaster 50 series, from the cat i'm running 2.25 inch piping. You can't hear it at all, sounds almost stock.

Magnaflow cat and flowtech glasspack. 2.25" from the mid pipe.

Sounds deeper in person, still has that "fartish" sound to it unfortunatly.
Tends to get that sound around 2000-2500rpm. Sounds good at any other rpm.

I don't think you can make a 3.0 sound that good
