engine problems!

I gotta a 94 p/u and i was puting on shackles and crankin my t-bars today and when i got ready to go drive it, it wouldnt start. so i checked the under the truck and made sure i didnt hit any gas lines or something then checked the efi fuse and it was blow. i dont no why it blew and when i put a new fuse in it starts up and sounds like it has a heavy duty cam in it. when i drive it i give it gas and it bogs down and sputters real bad. i give it gas and it seem like the clutch is goin out on it it kinda wines up and grabs sometimes. The clutch is new maybe 5000 on it but it seems like the engine is getting gas just no getting spark i checked all the wires and plugs and they all had good spark. im not sure what the heck goin wrong it seems like problem after problem with my poor yota. anyone have the same problem?

hmm, well after just crankin on the torsion bars, doesn't seem like it would cause any mechanical problems, but it kinda sounds like the EGR valve is stuck open or closed. You didn't say if a check light was on or not, so i'm ruling out the bad VAFM. If it bogs down after you get on it, i don't think it would be a fuel filter or a plugged converter.

no, the O2 sensor would just mess with your mileage, not really effect anything performance wise, it didn't mess with mine at all. That said, what wires melted??

Just the wires coming out of the O2 sensor. i dont think any other wires are damaged. i just cant figure out why the fuse just blew then it started running so bad.

CHeck the oxygen sensor wires. They sometimes short to the exhaust (area you were just at) and can melt and the heater circuit will blow the EFI fuse. Also, wire harness that lays across the top of the fuel rail, will eventually chaffe to ground and also blow the EFI fuse.

just had a similar problem. My O2 wire dropped were slowly ripped apart by the drive shaft. First the EFI blew, put a 30 amp in to get it home but on the way home the CEL code 21 came on. Got under the truck to check the o2 sensor and found the torn up wires. Splice all the wires back together and all is good now.

My brother is also having the same problem... I guess, I have to tell him to check his Chevrolet oxygen sensor, if it has some faulty wiring that caused his efi fuse to blow... Really feel excited what I had found, because his been wondering what was the cause for days now... Can't wait to tell him tonight... Thanks guys....
