Engine fuse- 22R

Greetings,

As I'm trying to sort out some of the wiring in an '86 22R p/u I was hoping for some help.
The 15amp engine fuse in the driver's side kick panel only has one wire attaching to one side of the blade fuse.
The red wire (from alternator) is present. The wire in question is the black-yellow wire that should be connected to the other side of the blade fuse.
At this time, I'm unable to find the wire in the harness that feeds the fuse block.

My question:
Where is the other end of the black-yellow wire that feeds this fuse?
I'm hoping if I can trace the wire from the other end, towards the fuse block, I can find the issue.

Any help is appreciated.
Cheers

From what I can see on the schematic I have, which I will grant you is from the 85 FSM, it goes to the IG1 contact on the Ignition Switch. That's the contact that is energized when the key is in the RUN position.

Does this help at all?

Thanks for the reply.
That would make sense, seeing that the red alt. wire is the "exciter"...
I'll take a look at the ignition switch and see if I have any luck...

Is it likely that the '85 had a similar wiring diagram as the '86 in this area?
Thanks again,
Cheers

I checked my 87 FSM and show the same, B-Y runs from the 15a fuse to IG1 on the ignition switch.

Well, I guess that answers that.

Mr.Jimkola, may I ask, is your FSM a PDF on your computer, or a paper version? Also, if it's a PDF, may I ask where you got it? I've got the 85 and 88 PDF versions, but if I could get ahold of an 87 FSM PDF, it would be icing on the cake.

Thanks!

It’s a physical manual. I wanted something I could use while at the vehicle. If you come across a pdf version lmk, I’ll do the same.

I truly appreciate all the input!
My daughter bought this rig, and it was a p.o.s.
We spent months bringing it back up to speed so it runs and drives great, and are still working a few bugs out.

We've been using the manual linked below, a Haynes, and lots of searching and reading information from existing threads here on YotaTech.

Black and yellow wire

Do you recall if the black and yellow wire is the only wire that is suppose to be attached to the 15a engine fuse? I’m trying to track down why my IG alternator wire is grounding out and noticed just the one wire going to the engine fuse and it seemed odd to me. Are you aware of what else attaches to this fuse?
