Dash Question

I have a 1988 Toyota Pickup Reg Cab 22R. I have been recently restoring..

Complete Frame Overhaul
Emissions Gone
Weber 38
Header
Timing Chain
Head
So on and so forth.
Fully primed grey

Ok so I am now on the inside and I have all the interior out nothing left but the column. Will a 90's model dash go in? I searched and found nothing. Thanks

I understand that it will not be a direct fit but if its worth it I would be willing to try to make it work. Just curious...If not I will but custom painting the new dash for the truck and wrapping the door panels in something. I will figure it out I was just curious if anyone knew?

ive heard that its possible. i have a 92, i can get some measurements of it. in fact, tomorrow im going to the junkyard to get a new upper for mine, ill take pictures of it as i get it apart. then you can see if its similar in mounting. i know the top is little tabs into holes, and there are a few tube bars side to side for mounting things. i keep trying to get my buddy to do it to his 88 2wd.

Yeah that would be cool. I am just playing with options at this point. If I can't get it to work I will just get some paint and use my imagination

Just wanted to try it and see what I could come up with. Off to the junkyard I go to see what I can find

Ok fellaz NO this will not work. It does not line up and is diffrently shaped that the inside of the cab. Support for the dash is ALOT diffrent. I went and pulled a dash out of a 92 and its MUCH diffrent.

So I repainted my interior and it looks much better. Thanks

would you have access to the door panels to see if it could be made to fit? like the 92 into an 86?

they cant be that much different. just recover yours. the handles and cranks are about the same. arm rest might be different. but im talking base vs base. i know some plusher ones had a top portion over the painted area.
