Dash button?
I’m not sure what it is. Some research made me think it was a rear diff lock but some more research told me it didn’t come out until the 3rd gen. 1992 manual 4Runner 3.0

That is the "Clutch Start Cancel" Button, or at least that is where it should go.
When that button is pushed, it allows you to start the engine without having to press the clutch pedal in. If you use this button, you will want the transmission to be in neutral, of course.

Since we are on the subject...what is that light for next to it? I have an automatic and there is an aftermarket fan the previous owner put under the hood. I now have a toggle switch to control that in place of the Clutch start, but I still don't know what that light does.
